📊 Children Have a Say: Join the U-Report Budget Poll Ahead of the Mid-Term Budget Speech

Every year, South Africa’s government shares how it plans to spend money through the National Budget. Halfway through the year, the Mid-Term Budget Speech gives an update on what has been achieved and what still needs attention.

But here’s the thing, young people are directly affected by these decisions. From the quality of schools and clinics to access to jobs and safety in communities, the national budget shapes the lives of children and youth across the country.

That’s why UNICEF Social Policy and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, is running a Child Participation Budget Poll to hear what YOU think should be prioritised in the national budget.

The poll aims to give young people a platform to share their views on issues like education, health, safety, and youth development, ensuring that leaders understand what truly matters to the next generation.
